SCENT DETECTION WORKSHOP - Odor Pays; Intro to imprinting odor for scent detection This workshop is for you whether you are training for fun and enrichment purposes or to successfully begin training in the sport of Scent Detection. Beginner Level - 12 week access - Certificate for successful completion Included in this workshop is 60 minutes in person training to set you up for success Scent Odor Vessel 12 weeks of access to on-line instruction How does it work? Attend a 60 minute, in person training session and receive your take home Scent Odor Vessel Your dog will be imprinted directly on target odor (wintergreen) used in CKC and SDDA Novice trials 12 weeks to complete the on-line course Instruction on; Marking the behavior, feeding at source and proper training mechanics Handling and preparing odor Organizing and proper storage of your scent supplies to prevent cross contamination Scenting vessels – one vessel will be provided to you Introduction to 14 imprinting training games using a variety of imprinting equipment How to set up simple searches Building value for odor Developing the desire to search out odor When can I access the workshop? • Once you register, your 60 minutes in person training will be scheduled with you • Your On-line course will open up for you containing how to obtain basic supplies, proper training mechanics, the importance of odor hygiene, how to set up for success and the 14 training games which you can complete at your convenience. • Got questions? All students may email any general clarification questions relating to the workshop materials • You will have access to the workshop for 12 weeks. On-line lessons consist of written material as well as instructional videos You will have access to all of this material for 12 weeks so that you can refer back to it as needed.
